Ive never been to prison but it seems that anytime you get a group of people togther in a space like that there is a hierarchy. Similar to a wolf pack. With unwritten "codes" and cues that get followed stronger then just fancy words on a piece of paper.

It is weird, but those who dont follow the rules usually dont last long.
