College cafeteria did

Every so often the cheese would leak out... So you would bit into one and it would just be an explosion of frier grease.
Seems what happened here. I tried my best to make them stuffed with cream cheese, even poked a hole in the bottom of the peppers to let air out as I pressed cheese in. But they still ended up half empty inside. I saw a recipe to just cut them in half and scoop the cheese in, should have done that but still even the breading tasted bad, the peppers were mushy... I dunno wtf I did...it was bad... burning hot and fart tasting breading with no filling.

I'll stick to using my deep fryer for pre made frozen food like tater tots...

Freeze them for a little while (at least an hour) before cooking them. It gives the breading time to get crunchy before the cheese can melt out.

I don't have a freezer big enough to put a tray of food in, and you can't just pile food like this in a zip lock bag fresh or it'll cause the still gooey coating to just clump together. I'm not a chef. I got some cool cooking stuff people gave me but no decent freezer... my freezer holds 6 tostinos pizzas...

My sub zero freezer can't be used for edible things anymore.

This is one of the wife's favorites. I call it left over hash because it's usually a clean out the fridge and put it in the skillet night. Tonight I made it fresh with brussels... asparagus... mushrooms... potatoes... onion... and two thin ribeye steaks.

I honestly like the leftover version better... but... even made fresh was absolutely delicious.

My credo
Its probably better to be self deprecating than self defecating.
Fiance has been watching copious amounts of hells kitchen lately.. and they cook up filet mignon in pretty much every episode... made me realize I don't think I've ever actually had a filet.

Bought some, she cooked em up. Absolutely worth the price you pay lol. Also tried out black Angus filets, which were 5-6$ more per pound than regular crap cow filets.... not worth the extra price I don't think. There's a big difference between cheaper cuts of steak when it comes to black angus/crap cow.. didn't seem to be any difference with the filets.

In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are different.

It does make a difference. I hadn't bought much beef in years. About 2 months ago, somebody told me about a packing plant nearby that sells direct to the public. Think I paid $7 per lb for a whole beef tenderloin (filet). Took it home. Let it age. Cut my own steaks. I think the whole sirloin (good enough for me most of the time) was $5.50 per lb. I'm eating more beef now.
