What's sticking out from the left side of the photo towards the Bronco with the SUP in the next to last photo - is that the awning you mentioned?

Does the kayak come with it?

Also, who's job is it at Ford to determine lug nut quantity per vehicle? They need to be fired...

5 OR 6, PICK ONE!
I looked last night wondering the awning was actually an option. I don't see anything for the Bronco Sport but Yakima kayak racks and awning are an option for the Bronco.

My F-150 had the option of 5 or 7 lugs... in the same model.

I think big Bronco and Ranger wheels are supposed to interchange, they are both 6 lug so it is down to the offset... and I know Ford would love to monkey that.

I remember those stupid 7 lug rims on the "non superduty" F250 but never saw them on an F150. I just see no logical reason to have so many different lug patterns and numbers from the same manufacturer and on similar sized vehicles. You aren't gaining any magic powers by adding a sixth or seventh lug nut to a half ton truck. :dunno:

97-98 were F-250LD (light duty)
99-03 were F-150 7700

They carried up into the 04+ as some heavy payload package, they are harder to track because they didn't get any badging and generally the lugs are covered by hubcaps. Once in a great while I find one in the JY.

I don't know why they didn't just throw in an extra four studs/nuts and just run SD wheels if they felt they needed more lugnuts...

They did tweak a lot of stuff though between a LD/7700 and a normal F-150.

Ford already messed up the current bolt patterns: F-150 is 6 x 135mm, while the Ranger/Bronco are 6 x 5x5 (or 139.7mm). Why they couldn't have stuck with 6x 135 for the NA Ranger is beyond me.

That’s to stop people from putting Raptor wheels on a Ranger.

Ranger was mainly designed in Australia and was never intended to be sold on the same continent as the F-150. Ranger pattern is the same as Ranger overseas competition (Toyota, Nissan, Mitsubishi etc) which is good for less developed countries that can be hard on wheels.

If anything the '150 should have matched the Ranger... it is kind of the odd one out.

I prefer to keep my coolers inside the vehicle rather than outside on a rack.
