Definitely the blower motor...the hose helps to keep the fan motor cool so if you can't connect that hose then someone has swapped in an aftermarket like AndyB mentioned.
The fuel pump may be off due to inertia switch being tripped, but could be other things. If the truck engine is still hot there may be some other safety override that will not allow fuel to be pumped in accidents...not sure of an overheat safety...
The inertia switch is up under the dash on passenger side in most Rangers...may be behind the kick panel or up near the center of the firewall by the hump...small black switch with a red button usually...push that in to turn on pumps...if not tripped then it's something else.
EDIT: Come to think of it, the inertia switch may be making a ticking noise (not sure) and it may be located on the other side of the firewall behind the blower motor...they are pretty close to that location...blower motor doesn't usually tick...the resistor is solid with no moving parts that I recall...crawl in under the dash on the passenger side and listen in there...although it may have stopped by now or needs the key in the on position.
A faulty inertia switch might tick if it is trying to trip the switch...I had one completely melt on me once...but it was in the trunk on my Tempo so I couldn't hear or smell anything...
