My idea of a Shelby Ranger if there would have been one.

Well it's finally warm in Ga again so it's back to work on the ole girl.

went from this

Aslo put carpet on the door panels

And installed the new white faces on the gauges but forgot to snap a shot of them
I also had to make the speaker holes bigger in the doors Still need to black felt the grills and get the panels to my interior guy.

Glad your back working on it and I've typed it before and will type it again, this is my favorite 4x2 lowered truck on here, or more then less just my favorite all together.

Every Time I look at this truck, it makes me want to work on mine, but I have to wait and get the mustang out of the drive first, and then save up for parts.

Did you find out what was causing the bad fuel mpg ????

Robert

Robert!! Hope you are doing well buddy! Thank you Sir! The bad MPG was from the 3 bolts on the collector being loose.. Not sure if you saw but installed a screamin demon coil and updated injectors.. MPGs were at 25 MPG (I think) on the last day trip. She is running really good now..

Dang multi, want to redo my interior? :D

Also I was thinking about your temperature issue and thought, now don't take this the wrong way, is it possible you may have put the new thermostat in backwards? That's about the only other thing I can thing of that would be that other than a tear in the gasket causing the thermostat to be continually bypassed.

Sure bud bring her on down!! :icon_welder:
I don't think it will go in but one way.. If it goes on backward it hits on the inside of the block (I think)... even if it will it's in right.. It doesn't always get hotter. It will in traffic and with the air on it seems to get hotter. Sometimes it just gets hotter for no real reason... Could even be a malfunctioning gauge... It seemed to stay stable this weekend She even seemed to be running better this weekend than she has in a while...

It could be the gauge or maybe your heater core is starting to get plugged causing inconsistent flow.

I Think it is the gauge. When the fuel gauge hit around .5 the temp seem to rise to hotter... The heater core is new so It should be ok... Found some new bucket seats finally!!!!!!! Getting them this weekend if all goes as planned

I'm hoping I didn't miss a post here..
but tell us about those injectors. I know you said they're updated with quad-holes instead of going solo, but what else might we need to know about them? a.k.a. what's the catch, how good of a compatability rating are we talking about, and how do we get them:D

The injectors ar basically 19lb injectors rebuilt with updated parts. These so far have been the one thing that has made a difference in power and fuel MPGs... It's like riding a Honda CR or Yamaha YZ series dirt bike with a power band after swapping them out... They are plug and play no mods needed. All you need is an E7, 13mm, 10mm Sockets and any other tools needed to pull the intake. Pick up some new gaskets, a little oil and roll with it... I have found atleast with mine if you break loose the upper intake nuts you also break loose the middle intake which takes the E7 Socket to tighten down so always check them as noted..
Here is the place to get em... Best hundred bucks I have spent!

If you get them I want your old seat tracks. That is assuming that you won't need them and they will fit a first gen. I'd like to swap to (nonstock) buckets in the future, but have a bench. The only pick-n-pull round here just crushed
most of it's inventory older than 95, and they only had two stripped rangers before that.

They would fit If I had them... Remember I put Crossfire bucket seats in the ole girl..I had to modify the tracks from the origional seats to mount the CF seats.
I am going to sell the CF seats for 100.00 if you want them... They are leather and full power... I love the CF seats but with they don't sit well for me after about 100 miles I start getting antsy it them... If I was young and skinnier I think they would be great.

Got the New carpet delivered... If I get the seats this weekend I may install it Saturday... Pics coming soon... Still will have to have the new seats recovered to match the interior....

83-88 floors are different than 89-92 despite the cab looking similar. I discovered this when putting an 83 seat in my 92.

I thought they were the same. The carpet says it will work for 84 to 92... I know you have to dril new holes going from a bench to buckets but I'll take your word for it though....

EDIT: After doing some google searching I found the tracks brand new.. Here is the fitment they give. 1983-1985 can interchange and 1986-1993 are interchangable... The seats I am getting were in a 1986 Ranger so we will see when I attempt to bolt them up in my 90.....

Geez and I'm both of those things:D

If only you were closer multi, the old thrones in Jammer are more than a little tired:sad:
