Kyle M's Ranger Rebuild

you sure know how to tear shit up huh?

Do my best! Isn't any fun if you aren't finding your limits

Actually, I was thinking of a 90* brakeline fitting that came through the arm, like a bulkhead fitting, on both ends, this way the brakeline is suspended inside the arm, and secured on both ends. Instead of inverted flare fittings you can run AN style fittings...

Yeah, I'm with ya, I just not sure if I am keen on drilling holes in my arms.

It wouldn't have to be big...3/8" at the biggest, just enough to run the fitting through just like a bulkhead fitting...I don't think that small of a hole would compromise the strength of the arm...

Hey bud i didnt read up to find out if you got the bearing and spindles figured out but the spindles off a full size bronco have the bigger bearing and shorter length spindle.

Damn Kyle, that sucks big-time! Was that a brand new ring?

Just because it says Yukon don't blame me:D

Yeah, I got it figured out, using Chevy 10bolt spindles and brakes on the EB knuckle...works good. Only issue I had with it was the spindle/knuckle/hub combo was longer and my locking hubs wouldn't sit in far enough to get the snap ring on so I just tapped the end of the shaft and used a bolt and washer to hold it all together.

No warranty on that R&P?

I ran my brake lines down the frame, along the crossmember, then straight down above the axle. they stay out of the way for me. there should be a couple pictures of it in my thread. Sorry to hear about your R&P brother. I say go with the HP 44 :headbang:

I got ya, the same as factory. I will keep it the way I have it for now. The problem I had was the hose clamps holding them in place. When I came down on a rock and slid off, it rotated the clamp, in turn rotating the line into 'the danger zone'. I just gotta do something that wont allow it to rotate. If I continue to have issues with it maybe I will do something different.

Now if my spotter knew what he was doing.....lol

i still like the idea of running small diameter tub on top of the arm to keep the line there

or just weld some small brake line tabs on top of the arms to keep them in place. That is what i have planned this summer.

Kris, me too, I think I might go this direction, I have some small dia tube, think I might just do it.
