Ok everyone.

Post up picks of your stock or lowered 2wd's with non-stock tire sizes. Indicate the tire size, rim size, backspacing (if you know it), and how much drop you have if you're lowered.

Lets build a reference to help out others trying to figure out what size wheel/tire they can fit.

Thanks! :icon_thumby:

For one, I know the Jeep "Gambler" wheel won't work too well in the front for a stock 2wd ranger. At almost full lock left and right, the rim rubs the lower shock stud. I noticed a horrible wobbling after my wheel weights had been ripped off and the edge of the rim had been slowly ground away.

I'll post a pic here soon of which rim I'm talking about, for those who don't know.

I have my 86 lowered with beams and coils up front. 5 inchs of drop. I am running 205/60R15s up front and 225/75R15s in the back. The back is dropped 8 inchs statically and the back only rubs the bed when I throw the truck sideways...which is often.

OK, I'll play. This is the low-buck edition. If you're looking for something radical, keep moving. :)

Drop: 2-1/2" rear w/ hanger flip, 2" front with Western Chassis coils
Wheels: '07 Mustang 16" X 7" Base Model
Tires: stock Mustang 215/65X16 BFG's - I plan on a set of 225/65X16 General Altimax HP's when the BFG's are done as the OD of these is nearly identical to the stock 225/70X15's.
Offset: 37 mm
Spacers: 1-1/4" cheapos rear, 1" Eibach front

Now that's more of what I'm looking for. Facts/photo.

Thanks!!

Stock suspension with Ranger Splash 15x7 rims.
Tires are BFG A/T 30x9.5's.
Slight rub on fender liner when flexing the truck (like on my 30 degree angle driveway:annoyed:).

Eagle Series 192 alloys, wrapped in Nexen N3000 rubber, Sized at 245 / 45 / 17.
Warning. These do rub at full lock.
Also, had to mill the centre of my front rims to allow them to fit over my hubs.
Stock spring sag and ranger lean.

I don't have any photo's but I'm compelled to post:

FOR ANYONE SHOPPING FOR ECONOMICAL LO_PRO TIRES!!!

I had a set of Nexen N5000's on my '94 Integra (4-corner coilover) and they were the best handeling tires I've ever used. Where I live, we've got a well paved mountain road we call the 'Tokyo Pass' (you can imagine why) and these things never let me down. I've had them for 3 years and they've put out in snow, rain, and summer heat.

I know this may not be the place to boast about tires but I feel the people coming through this thread might be in the market and therefore: it's my automotive duty!

Stock '97 Ranger
tires are 255/70/R16 (30"/10"/R16) and the rims are off of a '98 Explorer.
