I didn't see any.

I just watched a video by Forged 4x4 showing a bunch of trucks from SEMA 2026 and not a single Ranger.

Why Ford?

Why?

:dunno:

I swear FORD forgets they even have a Ranger in the US. I'm in talks with the dealership and they keep trying to shove a F-150 down my throat, Because they have so many on the lot, and not a single Ranger to look at. I don't need another F-150 and the hoods are so large on the new ones, I can't see to drive one.

I’ll bet the margins are not as good compared to the F-150. Probably cost about the same to make, but obviously can charge as much.

Yes for 30-45K I can get a compact maverick, for 35-60K for a Ranger and then 40-??K for an F-150. Top Tier Maverick is MORE than a base F150. BUT the F-150 is TOO big for my needs, and to get the Maverick kitted out to my liking, I'm right back into Ranger Prices.

Base Starting Prices (MSRP)

Ford Maverick (Compact): Starts at $28,145 (such as the XL hybrid). Top-end trims and performance variants like the Tremor or Lobo can reach up to $42,490. [1, 2]

Ford Ranger (Midsize): Starts at $33,550 (such as the XL base model). High-performance off-road trims like the Ranger Raptor reach up to $57,665. [1, 2]

Ford F-150 (Full-Size): Starts at $39,585 (such as the XL base model). Specialized or ultra-luxury models like the Raptor R can surpass $114,000. [1, 2]

This was a common problem with the last Ranger (2011-). People would go into the dealer shopping for a Ranger, and dealers were pushing them to buy F-150s instead.

Honestly, I think the only two vehicles Ford really cares about are the F-150 and Mustang.

If Ford cared about the mustang, they would not have called this monstrosity a mustang.

and I'm not going to buy either of those.

I think you can add the Superduty to this list.

But, yes. Ford hates the Ranger.

Yeah. It's really more like full size trucks and SUVs.

They'd be happy to kill off their entire car line. They did kill off their entire car line except for the Mustang. They'd likely have 86ed it too if not for the backlash they would have faced. They already tried to kill it off once back in the 80s and that did not go over well at all.

And now they have a Mustang GTD. There's no way I'd spend $325,000 on a Ford Mustang. If I spent $325,000 on a car, I want it to have name recognition. I don't want to feel like I have to qualify what I have every time I say I have a Mustang when Mustangs have a base price of $33,000.

Chevrolet was smart. The Corvette has always been their ultimate performance car. There are no 4-banger or V6 models. Unlike the days of the Mustang, if you say you have a Corvette, you don't have to qualify it by saying it has a V8. It speaks for itself. Chevy also sold them to anyone that had the money. I don't like the Vette, but I could buy one with more horsepower than the GTD for a lot less money.

The Ford GT was a great car with a stupid name that Ford only sold to select buyers. If you tell someone you have a Ford GT, they think you mean a Mustang GT. Ford should have given it an actual name, sold it to anyone that could afford it, and competed against the Corvette.

If I was spending over $100,000 for a car it's going to have name recognition like Porsche or Ferrari.

I get what you’re saying and I do agree, but if I had Mustang GTD money I wouldn’t give a single f$(k if someone didn’t know what it was. I’d dry my tears with $100 bills.
