I have a 2002 Ford Ranger FX4 also. 5 speed manual with a manual shift transfer case. Bought it used in 2005 with 40K miles on it. 3" lift, 15x8 polished aluminum rims with 31x10.50/15 BF Goodrich tires. Today, it has 240K miles and still running strong. Replaced the alternator at 145K, front CVs at 190K, and the clutch slave cylinder a few months ago at 237K. Never had issues at all with the fuel pump, water pump, electronic ignition, or other components. Best vehicle I have ever owned!
