I bought this 2000 Ranger 4x4 for my wife about six years ago. A couple of years later, she mentioned that the truck had a bad vibration. As shown in the picture, the front right frame rail is completely rotted through. Initially, I considered junking it, but my wife really loves this truck. I know I shouldn't have done it, but I let it sit in the driveway for the past year and a half. Last year, I found a replacement frame for it but never got around to making any repairs.
Fast forward to now: I have a friend who owns a shop, and we're planning to replace the entire frame in the evenings when he isn’t too busy with other work. There is no strict timeline for this project. I told my wife I was scrapping the truck so she wouldn’t find out what I’m really up to. Since it has been sitting for so long, we are also going to replace the suspension and brakes while we work on it.
I'm sharing this here because I know my wife won’t see it, but if I posted it on Facebook, she definitely would. I’ll provide updates as we progress. While it may not be anything special to others, it holds a lot of sentimental value for her.
