There's something I never want to hear a woman say on a date.

Anybody familiar with the comedian Rodney Norman?

Y'all have a super freaking awesome day.

You're moving quite along, after seeing "I'm out of go for the day" yesterday to "meh, I got bored and now 2/3 of the junk is out of my way to get the engine out and part of the interior mods" in the same day is pretty good :), must have seen a shiny squirrel in there and started chasing it...

That's all for today. It's 91 degrees with "feels like 97". Skid plate is off, drive shafts are off. T-case is out. Most of the exhaust is cut out. Driver side y-pipe bolts are out and I put more penetrating oil on the passenger side. They don't want to budge.

Not to encourage more heat when it’s already hot out, but heat, and a lot of it, is your friend with stuck y-pipe bolts. It’s not always easy to get heat in there though.

I did discover that pulling fenders and the grill/core support help a lot with access, I’ve started making my core supports a bolt-in deal to get better access for major engine work. Actually been considering @bobbywalter ‘s deal of making the inner fenders removable too. That’s one thing with my F-150 and F-350, you can blow the whole front clip off and you suddenly have all sorts of room to work.

Not sure how much I'll do this afternoon. I mowed the lawn this morning. Then, I hung some shade.

Y-pipe is out without any broken, stripped, cut or melted bolts. Kroil+ patience+Milwaukee with several fresh batteries for the win.

I'm thinking starter motor is next, then cooling fan and radiator. Maybe clear out some underhood wiring. That will make a goid day. Clutch line is disconnected. So, once the starter is off, the transmission is ready.

create some shade. It's still hot and humid. But much better without the direct sun on me.

I don't know if it is on the list and I doubt it will be super easy... but losing the winch bumper will really help you during the operation.

Not a bad idea. I've been internally debating that. I might wait until it's absolutely necessary. Don't want to lose my cupholders/tool holders. ;)
