What did you do to your 2019 and up Ranger today?

Dumb question, what are winter wipers?
Winter wipers have a covering over the metal parts to keep out snow and ice build up.

Edit; sarge beat me, and gave a better explanation to boot.

Getting ready to take a wet ride through LBL to Stephen’s Chapel. Probably getting lunch at Patti’s 1880. I’ll post some pictures later.

Livernois is the group that does the ford procal tune for ford. I was going to get their tune for my 24 but only having 5k miles on the truck, i decided on the procal for now and will get livernois, or a custom tune, later.

You made my decision even easier. Thank you

Had a great day at LBL. I may go back tomorrow and get a little mud on the tires.

I hate that the pictures don’t do the terrain justice.

There are two types.

The original type that used the classic "bridgework" structure and were covered in a rubber wrap.

The other is the blade type where there is no "bridgework", just a blade with metal reenforcement along the spine of the blade and an attachment point for the wiper arm.

Even though the latter is becoming pretty much the normal equipment, some still call them winter blades.

In either case, steps were taken to prevent ice build up on support structure that can make the wiper blade not maintain proper contact with the windshield.
Thank you for the education

Also, if we are to believe the wiper manufacturers, the rubber is engineered to remain flexible in cold temps.
My system is to get new wipers every six months so I might as well get winter blades for winter.
They're calling for a bad one this year.
