What did you do to your Ranger today? (Part Deux!)

Technically I didn't do this just today, but the interior of Roger is looking pretty spiffy I think.

Went after a 97 explorer interior after reading a whole bunch about seat swaps. New vinyl floor, new headliner, new switches and buttons, it's styling.

I have the center console from the Explorer, it's going to be a hoot modifying it to fit the twins sticks but I think I can make it happen. Might do a thread about it, we'll see.

Is that a wood grain dash? Give us a picture of that.

I need those seats. Where do you park that when you’re not looking?

Took out the seats, cup holder floor console, door sill trim (it had 4 cracks at the screw holes that needed repaired and painted the 8 screw heads). Scrubbed the carpet with Turtle wax carpet cleaner with an additional spray of simple green and water, soaked the center seatbelt in hot water and laundry soap and scrubbed all interior panels (even the inside of the glove box). Sat the seats back in and will leave a fan blowing on it all night. Will vacuum one more time and then bolt everything down tomorrow.

I’ve never seen it, but I don’t know as much as the rest of these guys. That would be perfect for the Missing Linc, except it’s an 87.
My ‘89 STX had that wood grain bezel… I think it’s still around here somewhere if you need it.

Pulled the engine from my 98 Mazda today. Those bellhousing bolts would have been a little easier to get to if I had removed the exhaust, but dealing with this mummified Y-pipe/Catalytic Converter Flange is going to be a day project on it's own.

Anyone know where to get the bolt covers for the stepside bed rails on my truck? I have looked all over, Ford parts, Tasca, LMC. I have a few missing and am getting ready to pop them off and coat them with some trim restorer.

Wrecking yard or pull-a-part...

Definitely available for your 87. This is my 88. In fact that's all I've ever seen in an 88... My 86 had an aluminum colored part.

Duh, I drive this thing 10 times a week, it just never registered in my brain. It’s kind of hidden behind the steering wheel I guess.

A couple of days late, but on Friday I had the alignment checked because of upcoming trips and it was still within specs after 25,000 miles despite streets with potholes, etc., here. Might be the highest mileage I've ever had on the same alignment, but I'm used to smaller cars that don't handle bumps in the road well...
