Ever seen a Bronco II with this hood decal?

I've never seen a Bronco II with that decal package. The 1970s and 1980s were the time for dealers to put tape stripes and graphics on new vehicles as a profit maker, so I'll bet that package was a dealer item. Usually those tape packages did not hold up well, so one that old still in good condition has to be rare.

@Jim Oaks

I just knew that I had seen that Horrid Horsey decal somewhere, and finally dug through my RPC (Ranger Porn Collection) and found it.

I'm pretty sure that that the hood graphic, and the side stripes, on the B2 that you posted are Ford accessory items that could be purchased at the dealership.

This is s closeup from a September 1983 dated Ford Accessories brochure:

Also, the body side stripes on the B2 that you posted appears to be the same as on the burgundy B2, in the upper left of this whole page spread from the catalog:

And this the catalog cover, which is dated September 1983 on the rear cover:

Probably not much left of the many earlier graphics and stripes. It'd be nice if somebody reproduced some of them, at a reasonable cost.

Hey, thanks!!

1985 accessory catalog... they must have liked that spot lol

1987 catalog doesn't have pictures but does have part numbers (for a Bronco II hood tape kit anyway)

Good catch. It would be cool to figure out where that is, and see what it looks like today.

That was a good read; thanks!

I used google's reverse image to see if there were other "in the wild" examples of that bronco ii decal on the net and what it came back with was the jeep (wagoner and wrangler), and of course the firebird, and some other brands had a bunch of stripes or a decal on the hood... So I would say that there was lots of stuff in the very late 70's to very early 80's with decals on the hood... I can't attest to that first hand cause at that point in time I was still stuck on the farm and only saw farm trucks and tractors on a daily basis...
