How much does everyone here on the ranger station pay for their tabs ??

I'm not sure what you are asking. What are off road tabs?

It depends on where you live, and how close to this new "Rapid Transit" you live, mine were $67

A buddy of mine lives 12 miles from me and pays over $300

Ok, so are you asking about license plate renewal? If so, you are pay less than I do in PA for a year. It's about $105 a year here. Granted, that is for a class 2 vehicle. I have no idea what the registration for a class 1 is now.

Im asking about license plate tab renewal prices.

It's about $80/year for most older, small vehicles here. My '07 F250 was about $110, car trailer was over a hundred bucks. I don't even renew the plates on my other trailers, they haven't left my property for 5+ years.

Anything newer than 10 years is more expensive.

I don't know how people buy new cars all the time and afford to register them. My wife's new car was 26k and it cost over a thousand bucks to register it this year - that was 4% tax & insurance. I know people who buy more than one new car every year. The price we pay for nice things I guess.

Most people call them "tags", not tabs. That may be confusing the issue. That price seems to be reasonable.

I think my pick up was $117...

Bronco II was registered as an early antique and is basically 1/2 of what my truck is.

The antique plates on my Mustang cost $24 to renew and my neighbor spent $6 to register his Model T. NH charges a fee based on the weight and value of a vehicle and a second smaller fee that goes to the town. In 2011 I bought a new Escape and a new Ranger and the registrations cost me close to $900 combined. We don't have a sales tax but the added cost for value of the car is effectively a sales tax. The cost goes down every year until about year 7.

(ohio)-$43.34 for my escape plates for this next year, seems to me its about $10 more for a non-com truck plate, doesnt matter if its a 3/4 ton or a ranger. weight/year/value dont matter. 1 ton is commercial plate which was $95 the last I knew, If I truly needed a dually Id just get a 3/4 ton & roll a drw axle under it & get a dually bed or build a flatbed. Trailers depend on weight, you can pay for more than 1 year for tags if you want here, My trailers I paid for 3 years, the equinox I paid for 2, her escape Im just doing year by year, not sure how much longer it will be going, lotta rust underneath & a lotta miles on the clock.

edit: electric vehicles however have a rediculous surcharge, think $300/year. forgot about that.

based on my fleet i would say its about right....

but overall for me...not good. i asked my wife...

between the
motorcycles 105 105 105 plus 130month ins

and the 1988 ranger 105 plate 100 month ins

....1989 b2 105 plate plus 100 month ins

....2003 thing that identifies as a ranger 130 plate 130 month ins

....1992 gift f150 -- 60 transfer plate 850 year ins...next year plate 79 dollars

between outgoing 2021 powerboost 150....2024 hot rod st explorer...and new 2024 f150 powerboost its not as bad as i thought.

around 140 month insurance max coverage-- plates 300 year plus two transfers 60 bux.

its 8 to 9 k per year just to be legal.

that is a bullshit ripoff. because michiganistan is the only no fault state left.

i get nothing for any of the vehicles if anything happens to them except for the new truck.

it costs more to put agreed value full coverage (22k) on my piece of shit ranger then my 80k f150.

criminal.

that is about 9 g a year just to operate. just being "legal"

but all of my junk is paid for.

everything except what my wife drives...

dont even ask about the powerboost payment.

need to move to where the insurance is cheaper.....i am at 1034 in plates....i would rather pay double that in plates and 2500 a year to insure all of it.

hmmm

That depends on you. Do you want to legally drive your truck on the road? If so, then it is probably worth it.

Honestly I have no idea how much I pay on my tags for the Ranger each year. I know I pay a couple hundred total. That's F100, F-250, 99 Ranger, Kia Forte, and two trailers. I really don't care about tag price, it's cheap compared to the insurance.

It's up to $126 for older vehicles in Oregon now apparently (it's more in a couple counties and everything newer than 10 or 15 years I think then they go by fuel mileage)... so there's that for every two years per vehicle and $1900ish a year for insurance so I'm in the neighborhood of $2400 a year to stay legal with my 6 vehicles (two rangers, two explorers, F350 and Camry) and I have fairly low coverage on insurance...
