Looking for 2001 front fenders, core support and hood. Prefer local to coastal Texas, willing to discuss shipping if it's not outrageous. Come not an issue, minor dings and dents OK. Also need 2nd or 3rd gen bed for ext cab.

aCan;t help you on the parts, but wanted to provide a little info.

You say a 2nd or 3rd gen bed for ext cab. The extended cabs just used the standard short bed, same bed as the regular cab short bed trucks.

I don't know what year ranges you are using for those generations, but all of the short beds up to 2011 will bolt onto and fit your truck. All the short beds from 1993-2011 will fit and look right. Somewhere in the mid/late '00s they got a few more bed bolts, they will still bolt right on but have a few extra unused holes.

Mine is a 96, just wasn't exactly sure what years fit correctly when I made the post. Thanks for the info, all info is appreciated.

I'm still looking for 2001 front end parts (core support, fenders, hood and bumper w/ valance)

If you're opposed to digging through junkyards or straight up buying from LMC.. see what a few local body shops could do for you.

For what a junkyard wants by the time you add up each piece ($500) you could buy a "no title" roller ($500) around here and take what you needed off of it and then scrap the rest. Try facebook market place / craigslist / etc similar for a junked truck.

I've looked at local body shops and what have you and they have a bunch of mid 90's and older stuff but nothing of what I'm looking for.

I have also been searching eBay and Craigslist (I don't have Facebook and haven't since like 2010) but I haven't turned up anything. Most of the "rollers" as you say are going for at least 1k or want like $400 to $500 per item I need so it's not looking good so far.

ouch... guess that is a diff in locations. FWIW, 50-75% of the 'no title' around me are being parted out so you have a lot of cruft to sort through (unwilling to sell the whole thing), but there are a few around.

I live South west of Houston on the coast in Texas and the pickings are slim

My bad, what I meant by check local body shops is see how much they can get you *new* panels for.

You might get lucky and find one that'll order you whatever you need and only charge you a little over their cost.. which would definitely be cheaper than new from LMC plus their ridiculous shipping rates. I've had good luck doing that in the past. It's the easiest money a shop can make.. it's not much.. but a business that stays in business usually doesn't turn down making a profit..

Well now that I didn't consider. I had looked in to sourcing new parts from like rockauto, but the shipping was more than the parts themselves and was going to be over 1k for what I wanted. Next time I'm in town, I'll ask around about them ordering for me and see if we can't work something out that way

Which 2001 front end are you looking for? 2wd, or Edge/4wd?

The Edge/4wd is the one with the mesh grill and domed hood.

You can purchase grills and header panels from Amazon or ebay for what I'd call a reasonable price, and with free shipping. You'd have to collect all the little parts like headlight clips.

Fenders from 1998 to 2011 are interchangeable parts, that should expand your search some.

Hoods...

If it's the flat hood they are reproduced and can be had with free shiping from same sources, but still going to cost. The same hood was used on all 1998-2000 trucks, and on all 2001-2003 coil spring 2wd trucks. Possibly a change from steel to aluminum (or the other way) but the shape is the same. That should broaden your search for hood donors.

If it's the domed 01-03 Edge/4wd hood, those are not reproduced. You'll have to hunt down a good used one.

Headlights, 01-11 can provide them. There may be some differences in bulb sockets used through the years, but you'll need to swap those out anyway for a facelift.

Giving you the benefit of the doubt that you skimmed over my comment when I mentioned I was still looking for the parts where I mentioned only needing the hood, fenders, core support, and front bumper with valance (for fog lights). I don't need the grill, header panel, headlights or necessary hardware for those items as they have already been procured (refer to my build posts about my headlights).

What I'm needing are the aforementioned parts from a 2001 2wd (or 4wd if that's the only way to get the fog lights). The hood style isn't a large concern as long as the fenders and core support come from the same vehicle or another of the same trim/ drive. Color isn't an issue either as the entire truck will be getting a new paint job once so the sheet metal has been upgraded or replaced.

The "plastics" as I kindly refer to them have already been purchased from Rock Auto and Amazon and have been "temporary" fit so I could get it back on the road for necessity reasons.
