Yeah, me too; but I always ended up with a Misery Machine.

@Uncle Gump saw this at the Hamilton County Hazardous waste drop off right before the trail ride

I wish I could of got a picture.. but a couple months back I got to see a SWEET 40's coupe... chopped, sidepipes, sparkly flame paintjob... towing a 35' boat down the road lol.

That gorgeous. Looks like a 40's body with an extra set of doors and a custom bed? Wonder what it is underneath.

Very close. It's a '37 with a 502 underneath. Not a crate motor or a stroker but the gas version of the truck motor.

I neglected to get a pic of the interior on my excitement and awe but it was diamond tufted, headliner and all with updated gauges in the stock dash.

The only hint of red flake on the fenders is in the front shot. It was the same color as the car with a candied black overlay.

Not aware of a 502 (which isn't crate BBC). I know the 305-478 V6 GMCs, 637 V8 (60*) and the 702 Twin Six. The Vortec 8.1l is only 496 cid...

I took the guy at his word though did find this after your reply: List of Cars With a 502 Engine | It Still Runs

"The Chevrolet-produced 502 is a big block V8 with 502 horsepower and 565 ft-lbs of torque. Originally designed for racing Corvettes in the early 1960s, the engine was eventually produced for consumers in 1996. The 502 engine is sometimes called the Ram Jet 502, referring to the Ram Jet fuel injection. The 502 engine is a very popular crate engine today for hot rodding and drag racing".

I didn't interrogate/challenge him. Based on the reference, I would have came out the fool.

Doesn't really make that much difference. Cool truck just the same.

The Chevrolet 502 is real and still available as a crate engine. Bore x stroke are 4.470" x 4.000". Essentially it's the 427/454/496 bored out even more.

Apologies didn't mean to be harsh

Hot Rod has the 502's big brother, the 632 on this month cover.

637 V8 under the cowl would have been really cool; There's a rod around town here with the 702 Twin Six, but I can't find my pictures of it.

It's so stupid, I love it.

The thing is a mess. Most of the interior is stripped out if it.

Not sure if it is a Mazda masquerading as a Ranger or a Ranger with Mazda doors either.
