Lil Bob was born with Alport’s Syndrome which is a genetic kidney disorder and has been continuously going to specialty doctors throughout his entire life to maintain his bun and creatinine levels which is how his kidney function is monitored.
At the age of only 12, he started to lose his hearing and then underwent his first kidney biopsy at the Children’s Hospital. After this visit, Bobby had to start a blood pressure medication to help the overspill of protein in his urine to help prevent early end-stage renal failure. Unfortunately, the medication was just a Band-Aid for his condition. At age 16 he was diagnosed with end-stage renal failure. He is also currently at 45% hearing loss with it progressively getting worse each day.
On August 12th, 2022, Bob had his surgery in which he received his HD port. Bobby and our mother are in constant contact with the University of Michigan almost daily regarding his quality of life. They have also been commuting 1- 2 hours one way to the University of Michigan a minimum of 3 days a week to go to dialysis and any other appointments that have been required.
Bob was finally matched and found a kidney from one of his best friends’ Aunt who is also a member of the Toledo Police Department and is scheduled to have the transplant on June 28th, 2023.
Bobby's daughter Madisyn started a GOFUNDME for Lil Bob’s procedure to help her parents Kimberly & Bobby Walter with the financial hardships they have been facing since this past August.
Bobby and has family have meant a lot to myself and this community, and I am asking the Ford Ranger community to now help them.
Madisyn is trying to raise $24,000 to help her brother and her parents. Let's help her help them
