I'm a tool snob. Makit or Milwaukee only. Maybe Dewalt. Pretty soon it will be hilti and metabo and fein. Maybe even snap on. I try to buy the stuff they don't sell at home depot, because to me it is no different than Wal mart.
After owning my first home, and many faucets, I asked a well off contractor friend where to get good fixtures. He said everything at home depot is junk. Same with Lowes or any other big box store. If I want actual quality not mass produced crap, got to specialty store like Ferguson. Same with the tools.
He said all the Milwaukee stuff at home depot is crap. Real stuff is at stores like Arrow tools. Makes sense...
Every Milwaukee battery from home depot has been bunk (especially the 6.0/9.0 18v)
The batteries I've purchased anywhere else, including fleabay, have worked fine.
Eff home depot and their making tools useless. If I was gonna get ryobi I would just go buy a throwaway China brand from Hf
