1992 Ranger 3.0 v6 v8 swap wiring

I have a 1992 Ranger 2wd with a 3.0 v6, I also have a 1998 Explorer 5.0 v8 I want to do a engine swap, Not sure what wires I need to make it a stand alone wiring harness going from a 1992 to a 1998 or what they hook into. Do I hook the power wire from the ECU/PCM into the 1992 power source 60 amp fuse under the hood
any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is the 1998 still in running condition? if it is, I would start slowly loosening the 1998 wiring harness, see if you can keep it running by pulling some wires out of the way, but leaving the important ones. One at a time using a meter or testlight and a diagram. Get the 98 down to where it is still running, and you are confident to cut the cord so to speak.
