1987 2wd 5 speed ford Ranger tk5 transmission shifter fell out of my transmission and idk where to find the part

My shifter in my truck that you use to shift with fell out of the thing that holds it in and I think the transmission is a Toyo Koygo 5 speed but I don't really know that much about it and my truck is a 5 speed 2wd 1987 2.9l Ford Ranger, so if anyone knows where to get the part or how to fix the part help and comment. I will post pictures tomorrow probably. And if anyone knows where to get a tk5 shifter kit let me know please. And if anyone knows how to fix the part or knows if another part will work with it let me know please. What transmissions can replace the tk5 transmission that's
in it.

Have you pulled the boot out of the way and looked at it?
I had a similar set-up once but don;t recall having that happen

I haven't done that yet but I will do it tomorrow and I will post pictures of it tomorrow

You found the right place to go with it, tho maybe not at the best time
It may be as simple as a bolt came loose that holds it

Yeah it could be that simple but to will need to try to fish it out of the transmission

Broken TK shifters are a somewhat common occurance...i dont recall ever hearing of one coming totally out though..but i suppose it could happen under the right circumstances.

Unfourtantly no one makes the shifter anymore. So ebay/car-part.com/this place are about your only options for finding one

Coreshifters has a really expensive hurst one, but otherwise you're kinda in bad shape. I have one that's in pretty bad (but working) shape I pulled from my busted trans that I can ship your way if you really need it still.

It's ok I might try to find the one rubber peace at the bottom of the transmission because it might be there

there is a wiper arm bushing kit dorman sells that has a white cup-shaped bushing in that works realy well. dorman number 49447
