What did you do to your Ranger today? (Part Deux!)

Just a suggestion. You might want to consider getting the ones you have at least mostly in running order before you get more.
-or-

Get rid of all of them. Get one good running, reliable vehicle. Then limit yourself to 1 project at a time... not 36 projects that you can’t possibly have the time and money to complete.
Trust me... I know.

I'm debating this approach.

I'm debating this approach.

I did this a while ago... it’s so nice to not have to work on my daily driver (other than routine maintenance). I never HAVE to work on one of my vehicles... I get to choose when I want to work on them. I already work on trucks for a living, it’s nice to not be in any rush or under a “it’s gotta be up and running for Monday morning” time constraint.

Maybe if you knew the whole story you’d understand....

But I’d rather own 1 vehicle that would make it across the country, than own 7 vehicle that wouldn’t make it across town.

Help,

I'm being personally attacked.
:shout:
Ive downsized to 5 vehicles, 2 SxSs, 3 quads... I’m just speaking from experience.

In all seriousness. I have limited myself to not acquiring any more vehicles until I get my mustang back on the road.

It’s takes a good amount of self control, but it is helping me keep focused and make progress.

As long as I just look longingly at new projects and don’t actually go after them it’s ok, right? I mean, what’s the harm in looking…. :icon_rofl:

Never any harm in looking... it's when they follow you home.

I have zero room for another project... at least here.

When I get a barn set up... shit will start following me home if it's meant to be.

Use that argument on your gf when she catches you giving a side eye to the babe walking down the street

I’m one of the blessed ones who is allowed to look and comment. Beyond that is, however, more of a problem. I have in the past, however, had GFs where even a sneaky glance was serious trouble.

Current GF though can be a bit tough with it though, kinda keeps one on their toes I guess. Typical interaction:

Me: she’s pretty hot
Her: her? Really? You think she’s hot?
Me: Well yeah
Her: So what makes her so hot? Her (insert body feature)? (Bonus other option, she looks like your —— family member)
Me: ahh…
Her: why don’t you go talk to her if you really think she’s so hot?
Me: …

Once in a great while I get an agreement, but it’s pretty rare.

Got the front half of the CalTracs bars installed this AM. Next we jack it up in place, put in the spring eye bolts then replace the old slapper bars with the rest of the CalTracs system. I contacted the help line at Calvert Racing and they told me to leave my spring clamps in place. Spring pack consists of only the stock main and one slightly thicker second ply that took the local spring shop a few tries to get the arch right for the ride height I wanted.

Drove it to work for the first time in months, roads were clear of salt after the rains earlier in the week so why not? It definitely handles the bumpy back road better than the car. Didnt miss not having cruise and was nice to be shifting gears myself again. The sand core adhesive goop on my exhaust leaks worked, between that & my vynil floor with sound deadner sheets it was pretty quiet for the drive to work & back. Heater output wasnt too bad. Running with no fan & half the radiator blocked off, guage was almost at halfway before it would drop when thermostat opens I need to put a real guage on it some day.
