cargo lamp doesn’t work

i’ve tried rotating the dimmer into the on position to keep the dome lamp on, and it doesn’t turn on with the door open either, what should i be looking for to make it work? (the cargo lamp that is)

never mind i did a stinky, i had the bulb installed upside down and i just recently learned that you had to turn the dimmer til it clicked to make it turn on, the last bulb was probably good i just thought it was a third brake light that wasn’t working so i replaced it LOL

On a '90? there shouldn't be a 3rd brake light and the cargo light is directly connected to the dome light, don't know how you would get that bulb in upside down...

I haven't figured out the cargo light on my '97, but other than looking to see that the bulb is good I haven't tried anything...

try opening the lens and flipping the bulb 180°
