Largest tire you can put on a 2019 Ford Ranger without a lift

Those Cooper tires have a great aggressive look to them. I was thinking of upgrading my tires. The stock Bridgestone A/T dueller tires are ok but if I'm going to change them I want to go with top of the line tires. How would you rate the Coopers on the highway?

Did some research and really liked the look of Cooper Discoverer STT Pro. Installed 265/70R/17 with 2.5" Level kit. I have read that there is no rubbing, but I am expeirencing rubbing, just on the right side turning right??? Any idea what may be causing this?

Have you checked where the rubbing is? Jim had to move the bash bars as far as they would move away from the tires to eliminate any rubbing. But, we need to know where the rubbing is in order to possibly help.

From what I can tell it’s rubbing on this line. Not sure what it’s for, I moved it over by hand and it seemed to help, I may need to use a zip tie or something.

ThT’s the brake hose for the caliper. Careful how you tie that back. It needs to move when the suspension and steering does.

That’s definitely where it was rubbing. I moved it in a way that the loop was not facing the tire. Held it back with a couple of small zip ties, and that eliminates the rub. Not sure if there is a better solution to this?

You’ll just have to give it a whirl and see. At least with those zip ties, the ties will snap before the hose gets damaged.

Other options would be tryin the reorient the hose by removing the caliper and trying to rotate it different ways and see if it helps without binding or pinching the hose.

Anything else would require disconnecting the hose either at the banjo bolt or where it threads into the hard brake line. If you don’t have the tools and equipment to do that, I wouldn’t recommend doing it yourself. Taking it to a shop might become necessary if the other methods don’t work.

A tire shop probably won’t have tools needed to work on the brakes unless they do other work beyond tires. It will needed to be a general repair shop.

I often wonder who the kids are Ford has in their design and engineering departments? Why wouldn't they route the hose near the spindle, then up to the caliper so tire size would have zero impact?

People that have some actual experience with vehicles.... wouldn't those be great designers.

Hey guys, I'm looking to put these Cooper tires or similar ones on my 2019 Ford Ranger Lariat FX4 and my stock wheels are 18" (265/60/18). All posts on this thread are in regard to the Ranger's with 17" wheels unfortunately so I was wondering if anyone can offer insight on the biggest tire I can fit with stock suspension without any sort of rubbing. Maybe 265/65/18? I'm also looking to install fender flares and due to the flares, a set of spacers but unsure of the size of spacers I would need to use in order to be as close to flush as possible while also not rubbing at all. Thanks in advance for any help you guys can offer me.

I just bought 2019 FX4 and it has 275/70/18 " Cooper Discoverer STT Pro " on it. I do not believe that it has a lift on it or that I can tell. But I do seem to sit a little higher than most I see but don't see any FX4 version of it.

Are your wheel gaps the same between the front and the rear? Or does the front sit noticeably lower than the back?

Clearance from top of tire to wheel arch opening on my stock 2019 FX4 is:

• 6" Front
• 7-3/4" Back

Your truck has been altered with a lift or something of that nature. And the biggest stock tire that came on the trucks, from the factory, were 265/65

Who did you buy the truck from, an individual or a Ford dealer?
