What did you do to your Ranger today? (Part Deux!)

300 and we’re still here. :bye:

Got a call on Wednesday (I know, I know, I'm late again posting this) from the Ford dealer to set an appointment for replacing the driver's airbag. I had had to approach the dealer myself because nothing ever came from Ford. The passenger's airbag was done before I bought the truck.

The crazy thing is the dealer says it has the airbag in stock, but can't service the truck before 10 November. The service lady also wanted to know about how many miles were on my Ranger, which was about 107,800. I wonder why? The recall repair still has to be done, no matter how many miles the vehicle has, right?

Little display of my upholstery deep cleaning. Not the ranger btw, customer car. Im not done with the vehicle, the seats are literally the first thing i do just in case there is areas that need addressed once they dry.

Again, im not done with the car lol. First lay down a heafty soaking of dawn dish soap, degreaser concentrate (i like purple power), steam cleaner solution, and stain lifter (i like shout). Scrub it in with a nylon brush on a drill. Let soak. Go over it with a carpet cleaner full of straight water. Repeat until stains are gone. Followed by tuff stuff, brush it in, carpet clean it out. I usually put a little liquid new car smell in the carpet cleaner for the last round. Works every time if you have the patience.

I gave it about 150 miles of paved road driving. Wanted to drive it since redesigning the steering bushings. Will probably give it some more miles tomorrow taking the dog for a ride and hike. Noticed a little bit of coolant dripping near front of engine earlier. I'll need to investigate that.

Is that a hill I see about 2000 miles off in the distance?

I was actually going up a hill there...

Don't worry about it too much, it will quit leaking eventually.

That's impressive!

The original discussion has disappeared. IDK.

We need some positive news. What did you do to your Ranger taday?

Did a really fun donut in the mud at the hemp farm I work at and immediately regretted it after I realized I would have to clean up both of my bosses trucks that were parked nearby:( Oops!

Snagged a new front driveshaft with a built in slip clutch to prevent front axle damage.

How do you plan to limit it to 540rpm? :)

That is a neat PTO shaft though

Super neat, actually snagged a spare for my old #5 sickle mower (and the neat chaincase cover too)

And yeah, the yokes absolutely do not stay in phase... but because old play by own rules?
