I wouldn’t use anything galvanized around food and fire.... that’s just a bad idea.

It wouldn't get hot enough to be a problem. But don't worry. We're going with stainless steel. Watch for updates later this evening.

Your reflection in the dome however raises a few questions for me. It appears you are wearing a ski mask with a gun slung over your shoulder while squatting over some type of examination lamp? Is that some sort of self rectal exam while preparing to do some early evening car jacking or robbing the local party store?

My photo studio isn't ideal.

What looks like a long gun slung over my shoulder is a ceiling fan blade above me.

The "examination lamp" is natural daylight coming through the kitchen window.

Position? Well, the pizza Dome was on the floor and I was crouching to get the right distance so it filled the frame adequately.

That's my "official" story and I'm sticking to it.

I haven’t checked the weather forecast for our trip, but I like to be prepared... So I bought an awning over a year ago, but never mounted it. (Here’s a pic of it off the inter web.)

It’s been sitting in the box in my dining room (pissing my wife off). We had a slow night at work on Friday, so I made some brackets to mount it to the bed rack.

I finished drilling them, test fit everything, and threw 2 coats of paint on them tonight. I should have pics of it all assembled tomorrow.
