What did you do to your Ranger today? (Part Deux!)

1990 is different panels. The 93?-11 panels with manual locks and windows rarely had a storage pouch. Usually only doors with power windows got the little pocket.

Damn.. my 98 had manual doors with the pockets. If I knew they were so rare I would of kept them before scrapping the truck last year

I hate you. I have never found the elusive manual door panels with storage pockets in 5 years of searching.

I have some on my red truck. You can’t have them, but they are there.

I think you need to find an XLT with manual windows. Mine is an XLT with manual windows and locks.

Last night after work I droped the 4.0 heads off at the machine shop, and if they are good he is gonna do all the things to them, so here's to hoping I don't have to buy another set.🙏

My first 00 was manual with those pockets. It was an XLT though

So I just need to add a T and I'll have door pockets?

So, my door panels are rare?

They also have broken clips and rattle any time the truck moves.

Same. I had them in my 95 and ive seen at least 2 sets on fb. One set came with clean red doors for $150, the other set was $60 but i didnt want to pay that much for manual door panels lol.

Ordered guage pod for a 2nd gen to install on my first gen so boost and oil pressure isn't rolling around on the dash anymore.

‘88 turbo coupe. Nothing fancy done but would like to fix a bunch of small things to make it more bulletproof

You need to ditch that filter and currogated hose setup, it can't be helping... and I haven't heard anything good about spectre filters... My setup isn't fantabulous but it's worked for years...

That was a long time ago but it's a factory filter box from a 2.9L pre MAF Ranger so it had a hose barb on the lid instead of a MAF flange, I grabbed the intake tube from the junkyard too to cut up to fit my needs... I scabbed a mount for the VAM out of some 1/8" aluminum I found that attaches to the battery box. The splice in the upper elbow part where it's just two rubber hoses clamped together does have a short piece of PVC on the inner piece that's angled on both sides so it's not a restriction. I have a K&N filter in the box since I had it around... the stock filter box is the same filter used on a 4.0L so it "should" be a reasonable amount of air, and since I used the stock intake ducting in front of the radiator it's still getting cold air. I should put a vacuum gauge on the inlet of the turbo to see if it is a restriction...

You can also see my conversion upper hose to use V6 radiators, I'm pretty sure that's the original 1990 upper hose... I just cut it in half and put a copper elbow in the middle... works great :)

I am curious if the intercooler helps at all, I bet it does something... I have one somewhere, I should put it in mine...
