Coleman Liquid Fuel

Will this fill the gap in your collection? ?

What year is this? I have one like it but it's in terrible condition

It is indeed a '61. Needs to be cleaned up and the usual repairs done but it's all there, all yours if ya want it and cheap!

PM sent.

The yellow border on the decal threw me off, not used to that in 220 land so I looked it up. Looks pretty common for awhile on the 200A's. What month is it?

This is it, I just wiped it off with a wet sponge, it's a single wick

My initial thought is "I bet it would run"

And then I saw the threads for the fuel cap...

If it isn't too rusty inside and you could get a cap to go on it (and seal) it might have a chance to live again. What year is it?

The single mantles are kind of underrated by most, they produce something like 75% the light of a dual mantle on half the fuel and half the mantles.

I can't hardly get a good look at it, think it says 200A

Yeah, it is somewhat similar vintage to the one Shran found, looks like it had a yellow border around the decal too.

The month and date are stamped in the bottom of the fount (fuel tank)

When I looked at the bottom it didn't show, but in good sunlight it did, 6-52

Maybe an acid bath would clean up that fount... Would depend if it's pitted or rusted through. I'd resign it to wall hanger status if so. Pressurized fuel in a questionable container with an burning mantle above it scares me. I scrapped one fount because of that and it looked a lot better than that one. Poor thing!!!

The bottom looks pretty solid so it has that going for it.

Cool find... I haven't turned one of those up for awhile.

Josh B... I've converted a few of those to 120V. Put a frosted low watt bulb in it and it makes a cool night light... or maybe mood lighting when your playing pup tent with your female friend.

It belonged to my father, I'll most likely consider fixing it.
Everyone talks about cleaning them with acetone? I'm not even sure what that is, in the paints dept I guess
Yeah, I looked at Home Depot, $16.79 gal

A quart will do ya.

It breaks up and removes dried fuel remains.

I have gotten to the point anything new to me gets a week full of acetone before I put fuel in it.

It won’t do anything for rust though.
