So I am starting the swap process this week now that the engine and trans is ready to go in, Im going to name it Project Jenner (old busted pickup that thinks its a hot young mustang)

I can now pull the old engine and trans out.

Im using an 98 Exploder 5.0
B303 Cam
Trickflow valve springs
Trickflow lifters
Trickflow pushrods
Proform roller rockers 1.7
Sn95 fuel rail
Explorer injectors 19lb
Ricks rangers engine plates
4.0 rubber mounts
A9L computer
M5OD-R2 trans
Luk 11" clutch

More parts to come my focus is engine and trans out and in this week and mostly wiring. Other stuff that inst as time consuming will follow.

You should have said pink Mustang with fake eyelashes...

Cool stuff... will be following along.

Using an Explorer upper intake?
It looks no different than my friends mustangs or the crown vics I have lying around worst case I change the throttle body over

I was just thinking that running 1.72 rockers might require the use of slightly taller valve covers, and the upper intake from SN95 Mustangs and Thunderbirds won't clear them without a spacer.. OEM Cobra valve covers also work, but cost far too much. I didn't know what valve covers and upper intake you were running.

The only reason I asked.

I got those shiny ones from American muscle for like 45 bucks, they are taller i might cut the baffle out and if I need a spacer that isnt a big deal.

I wouldn't cut the baffles out unless you have to. Then if you "have to"... I would be looking for different valve covers.

Might be better to dent the baffle or cut small reliefs for clearance opposed to taking them out. Your PCV system will thank you.

It will according to the manufacturer of the valve covers you need to use a 1/2" spacer which thats not a big deal I can get that done at any time.

It has the pvc on the back side of the lower intake the old valve covers didnt have a pvc in them. The only concern I have about they have have 1 hole in them each and they have the baffle right under the holes one is getting a plug and the other gets the oil plug/cap

Thats the only spot I was worried about making contact most of the reviews say the didn't have to but the ones some did depends on the setup I guess

Where does the fresh air for the pcv system come from? Is that also in the intake?

I would imagine it was intake the old valve covers didnt have anything but spark plug wire holders and a oil filler neck unless the oil cap works as a breather but if thats the case thats news to me.

Well it has to get fresh air from somewhere... or the crankcase would be at a negative pressure.
