302 carbureted compatibility with 4.0 four-wheel drive transmission

Will a carbureted 302 block bolt up to a 95 supercab 4.0 four-wheel drive transmission? I'm sure the questions been asked many times but I'm new to the site still and new to the 95 4.0 Ranger truck was given to me and eat up by rats but still worth doing something to it

Sorry, no. The ford 4.0, 2.9 and 2.8 share transmission bellhousings. A 4x4 trans from a f150 with a 4.2 6cylinder will bolt up to a 302 and the shifter will be in the right spot too.

No. No Ranger engine shares a bolt pattern with any of the small block V8s.
