2003 Duratec 5 speed

I was told earlier that the 5 speed tranny in my Ranger wasn't an M5od-R1. I'd backed off on my engine swap because of that. Can someone confirm what the tranny is?
Secondly I have a donor 2000 Mountaineer with the 4.0 SOHC that I want to put in it. I don't see problems with this and the 5 speed. Thoughts?

Mac - Thank you. I'd been searching for that info, but was unable to find it. Looks like the tranny bolted to my 2.3 will bolt to the 4.0. Apparently the bellhousing and everything is the same.

Looks like I'm going to progress with the engine swap research..

Everything I've read points to the 2.3 NOT having the same bellhousing as the 4.0.
The 2.8, 2.9, and 4.0 share the same pattern.
The 2.0, 2.3, and {edit; I think the 2.5 share the same pattern}. {2nd edit; see next post}
The 3.0 is by itself.

Some clarification; the 2.3/2.5 Lima has a different bell housing bolt pattern than the 2.3 Duratec, and both of those are different than the 2.9/4.0.
