Yeah I never heard of that either.
Right in front of the cross member for the engine is a 3/8s steel plate welded to the frame for supports on what I cut out.
I was in a rush to get the track bar in and didn't research the best way to install it. It's tight under there since I tried to keep all the lift sucked in to have more down travel and a better center of gravity. I plan on redoing the track bar soon.
On to another subject.... I got the drivers side slider made. Transfer case will be here tomorrow night and ill get to work on that and finish the other slider.
I do need to figure out part numbers on flexy fender flairs from jc Whitney's.

You can also go to a flatter pitman arm to get the steering linkage up to where the pan hard is. I think 2wd f150 or vans were flat and fit out boxes

My '97 2wd Ranger with a 4.0L had a flat pitman arm. You might find one that way as well.

It would just be easier to move you drag link to the top of your pit arm (unless you are using a tapered stud, but it does not look like you are?).
A lot easier and cheaper.

However, It is kind of the easy way out. Not necessarily the right way.
It will make your drag link angle pretty rugged, putting a lot more stress on your steering joints.

For right now though, not to bad of an idea just to get your drag link and track bar parallel.

By the way, sorry for commenting on your drag link/ track bar angle so much. It is just that some of us have been there and don't want you to go through the same crap we went through to get it driving nice.

I'm almost there! I've been working on it as much as I can to get it there! I'll definitely be giving you a heads up when I'm ready to set a cliffs run!

So what kind of transfer case?? ratio??

It's no biggie. I will re do the track bar right n for tcase goes i will be running a 1350m/1354m doubler with a d&d shaft into 410 s. should be fine on the trails but who knows I might switch it up later down the road. I just want to get it out and see how it does.
I got the drivers side slider almost done. It needs a few gussets n ill weld it up. Teaser pic!

Not much of an update.... I'm in Denver still but I got a couple of new parts. I got some new limit straps and some auto tire deflaters. It sucks watching all the rigs driving around here and I can't work on mine. When I get back to Illinois I'm going to hit it hard and Finish this thing up!

Back home again and in the garage! I got the doubler almost together ( two bolts are holding me up.) it should be together tomorrow night and ill have the exhaust and rear shocks done and hopefully get a friend to help with the bed. I still need to figure out how to shift the doubler.... With a second hole in the floor or fab up a shifter next to the others. A couple of minor changes with the buckets and track bar and start on driveshafts.
So close I can taste it!!!!!!

Got out n got a few things done.
Rear shocks are on, bed is kinda on.... I didn't have help so I wrestled the bed on and tried the body lift blocks and could only get 2 of 6. Rear lights are in and working. It looks like a truck again!!!!

Progress is slow but knocked a few things off my list. I got the sliders welded on and painted. I got the roller fair lead on the winch. Welded the front bumper solid. I took the hitch and mounted it on top of the fram rails and welded it on. It took a little cutting but fits solid. Got the parts to extend the linkage for the doubler. I got the doubler done. I just need to fill it and fab up one more piece of the linkage and install it. I'm headed to get u joints and pipe for the driveshafts. I got new fuel lines ran. I also made a trip to jcwhitney and got some pacer flexy flairs and a bunch of random tools. It should be mobile in a couple of days.
I still need to do the front buckets, shocks, re do the track bar, flex it and trim fenders.

Backwards progress..... I started the truck today and turned the tires back and forth and the tires lean like the ball joints were bad. So I ripped the axle apart and remembered that I tilted the axle forward for a better pinion angle and welded the wedges. Ball joints are still good tho.
My question is, can I still run it the way it's set up on and off road or do I need to grind the wedges off and start over? I'll put the axle back together tonight and post pics.

Setting your pinion angle via the wedges will have nothing to do with camber in the balljoints. That will have something to with something being bent or you never tightened up the adjuster on the upper ball joint.

Altho, if you did adjust your pinion too much, you may have screwed yourself out of any chance of having decent castor
