to the guys who have 91 4.0 5spds

What is the ecu number you guys used or did you have good luck at a junkyard. At the parts store it doesnt show a list for a manual 4wd. Just 4 automatic 4wd numbers. If any of you guys have a stock 4.0 5spd 4wd id appreciate it if you could give me the numbers.

You should JUMP on that, and it DID come from a 4wd. $45!!!!

I also don't think the PCM cares one bit whether it's 2wd or 4wd.

im running one from a 91-92 explorer 4.0, 5sp. code is x2x2. supposedly they are programmed to have a little stronger low end since the explorer had more weight over the rear. i put it in when i did my 4.0 swap so i dont have a comparison, but it runs my 4.0 just fine.

I found a chilton manual. Figurrd out why my 93 ecu wont run my truck worth shit. They changed pins around and added egr, 2 o2 sensors, and cam sensor. 91-92 pins r the same.

Actually, ive done a lot of digging. I just dislike ebay and dont see it as a info tool. Aftermarket 2nd gen ranger stuff is hard to find on there.
