Once yes, and once kind of.
Back in high school, many moons ago, I was just learning to drive. My stepmom had a blue Dodge Caravan (very common around that time, mid-90's). I had to go to the town library to pick something up, asked if she'd take let me take the van. I only had a permit, so she had to come with me. We get tot he library, I run in, grab my book or whatever I was getting, and run back out, and hop in the driver's seat of our blue Dodge Caravan. Then I notice my stepmom isnt' there.
Then I look out the driver's side window and see our van, two cars over, and my stepmom laughing hysterically at me.
Oops.
I also used to drive a Ford Escort wagon. Was visiting my dad's one day, asked to borrow his Ford Ranger to get some stuff at Home Depot. Got out of the Depot, hopped in the truck, put the key in the ignition, and could NOT for the life of me get the key to turn. I thought I was going crazy. I triple checked to make sure I was in the right truck, and I definitely was. Called my dad saying something was wrong with his ignition, it just wouldn't turn, no matter how much I moved the wheel or whatever. He hopped in his other car to come and help me, and when he was probably about halfway to meet me... i realized I had been trying my Escort key the entire time.
