1989 WALL-E Ranger Build

Got the truck aligned, the guy said he was going to use solid bushings but what do you know, he used adjustable... I practically paid someone to do what I had already done and un-did, and he only aligned the passenger side. Oh well learn from your mistakes, im going to call them tomorrow and ask why they used adjustable. The tires still seem to point out a little at the tops. If i move the truck about 50ft forward, and check the hubs with a degree meter I read about 2 degrees positive camber. I dont know if this is the right or what not but I guess if the shop did it and didnt say anything about it being wrong it should be ok. Also discovered a hole in the one tsl looked like it was from a very small nail. So after fixing that I need to weld on the ebrake bracket and put on the new body panels and shes ready.

Well last night we got bored and decided to put on the new body parts I bought. 50$ for a fender, lower grill valence, and full headlight assembly. Wasnt a bad price.

Once we started taking off panels we realized the truck was in a good accident and the knuckle of the drivers side frame is bent slightly about 6 inches back. The body mount and all is still attached though. The lower part of the rad support is crushed a bit too, we just reused the old crushed bracket to line it back up. This cant be seen unless you look hard.

Just need to get a new speed clip for the lower 10mm bolt at the bottom of the door and it should be in. The front part of the fender is the only part hitting the hood. Gonna loosen the bolt inside the drivers door and adjust it where it needs to be... hopefully

Got the ranger legal last night and took it out with a few people in a storm we had. Did good till I realised my front coils had bounced out of the hooks. So I put a hose clamp around em and drove home. Anyone have and suggestions on how to hold in those coils.

Noticed another issue with the front suspension, the front shocks came out of their mounting holes. I dont know how this happened... I guess from over travel or bumps? They are pretty long shocks though and I believe they bottom out sometimes.

Also almost through my first tank of gas and Im hoping my dash reads completely wrong because the gas went by fast. After what looks like 120 on the dash im on a 1/4 tank from full. I know its off but by how much I dont know yet. Will be driving with my gps on tracking mileage to and from work on the next tank. Anything under 18mpg and it might be time to park this.

Looks like it's coming together! The International is awesome! Nice build

Where are all you guys in Jersey? I'm in Delran. Actually used to work on Shontz diary farm in southampton for a while.

Your shocks keep busting because you have too much travel. Take a couple hours and go through the tech library. Look into getting a set of F250 shock towers.

I realized what the issue was, when I put the shocks on I forgot the metal washer/spacers. So I ordered a kit from rancho of the bushings and metal spacers because after putting the washers on the old bushings just detoriated.

I also ordered at the Bloomsburg 4x4 Jambooree last weekend a set of 85150 rear shocks from superlift for 33$ each no tax and freee shipping to my door. Cant wait to put em on and test out flex.

Update: After a few full tanks and replacing the sensors it looks like with 32s it gets about 20-21 mpg and the 34s I havent calculated it yet.

Its pretty sad that half the vehicles there are built like shit and are impractical... It made some of the stuff ive built that I thought was rigged look like gold... I was disappointed. But I did miss all the vendors, I only saw the vendors that where down the middle and not the ones on the other side... oh well it kept money in my pocket

Score picking up a set of Pacesetter headers brand new in box with all peices tn for 100$ or less! Def worth it.

I need to worry about passing inspection and im putting money in the truck still.. haha

Was at a friends wedding at the mud bog, everyone said the little ranger couldnt hit the big holes, hit it about 5-6 times made it through no problem after people were hitting it on 44s and tractors. Then one ass on 44s hit it in 2wd and ruined it and I got caught up.
