1989 WALL-E Ranger Build

Brake lines are in, and look awesome. Gonna mount them today and get some flex pics to put my jeep friends to shame.

Also found a phone number of a guy who had a D60 front in his yard he wants to get rid of CHEAP, so wednesday im picking up what I hope is a Dana 60 and not a D50. Gonna have to open up the diff and check ring gear bolts for 10 vs. 12.

At that point we have a sterling 10.25 in the group of friends thats for sale for 40$ and I might have an 8 lug ranger. SO TEMPTING. Might be building another truck, or making my ranger my not so daily driver hah

Added the new brake lines last night, Love em and the brackets that are given with the setup. One large self tapper and they mount right up. I did have to rig the passenger side for now as I was trying to hit the car show and the cross over metal line was not long enough, So we drilled a hole in the shock tower and mounted it through it. Will be changing out the line and putting in the bracket.

Took some flex shots on some 8-12" wide tires stacked. Got on about 3 of em ~28-30" and the truck did it with no issue. Once parked the rear was on the ground but could be picked up with a push of a finger.

The shocks are not limiting the travel, but I think its time for some chevy leafs!
Also my shackle is at a 90* angle when parked. I believe if it was pointed 45* backwards I would achieve more flex.

Will be posting pictures later today

Hey some of us act like we are working by moving away from the computer to help the people with no common sense.

I just noticed you have a long arm lift with a DROP plate?!?! Get some skyjacker drop brackets son!

Yea I wish I had the drive side drop... Kinda bummed. I might make my own though.

Edit: Or you can give me 300$ to buy the bracket :)

Why spend money when I have brackets already :P

If I go buy my stick welder Ill custom make some with the stock drop I have stil

I spent the money just for convenience in moving my build along that quicker. They're beefy as hell too. I really wouldnt be wheeling the hell outa that thing until you get that bracket on there. Either way tho, your shock mount will limit the amount of uptravel you have due to it being so short so you'll be okay.

Temp brake line hole to hold the line until I can get the 12" extension on the hard line to mount the lines vertical... (Hits at full tilt to passengerside)

I shoulda broke out the spotlight, but this works for now.

If a friend gets back to me he might have a D35 and 8.8 456 Locked front and rear for me. Then Id have to get that drop. Which he might have and trade me for mine and cash.

I shoulda checked the diff clearance at full tilt...crap

You need some lower PPI coils and F250 shock mounts bad dude!

I have a set of 4" coils I'll sell you for dirt cheap.

Should be perfect. They're 18" tall. $50+shipping they're yours. If anything, throw a set of washers under them.
