7H3 is the date code. The casting numbers are on the bottom side of one of the intake runners. If you have 1986-2001 heads, these can be identified by a letter cast in the lower front corner of the passenger side head, next to the valve cover. E6SE heads have an "S" here. E7TE's have a "T". GT40 heads have "GT". GT40P heads have GTP. The GT40's also have vertical bars cast into the ends of the heads, GT40 has three bars, the P heads have 4 bars. Now on the pre 1986 heads, these can be narrowed down some by looking to see what style rockers they have. All heads after 1976 have pedestal rockers (bolt down), from April 1966 to 1976, all SBF heads (except the Boss 302) have rail rockers. Pre April 1966 have non rail rockers, the pushrods keep the rockers aligned with the valve stems via the slots in the heads the pushrods pass thru. And lastly, starting in 1969, the rocker studs are "positive stop" style, the threaded portion of the stud is smaller than the shank so that the rocker fulcrum cannot go below the level of the step in the stud below the threads.

Oh, and the date code (7H3), the first number is the year it was cast. The decade that year was in, is determined by the casting number's first character (letter) "H" is the month (August). the "3" is the day of the month.

there is no other casting numbers on it it doesnt really matter i need new heads anyway i was just curious
