I agree with you 100%. My first ride was 84' yota with the torsions cranked to full kill. I used to love jumping that pos. As I got older and more into the sport I realized how much more I enjoyed fast paced desert driving. Hell I moved back to the desert from pismo because I missed just driving down the street and having the best terrain to play in I could ask for.

Anyways.. Your truck has come a long way.. Good job! Hopefully next year I'll line up with you at huckfest to show some single cab pride.. I hope 4hi and paddles will get me a nice run.

Thanks man, yeah it would be nice to live closer to the desert. The 6+hr drive is always worth it though. In fact I'm leaving in a few days to go to Battle at Primm, should be fun. That'd be cool if you made it out to huckfest, not 100% sure I am competing this year considering the lack of permits and all the drama associated with it, we'll see how it plays out.

Going to start tearing the glass out of it and mount the fuel cell soon.. Been driving it on the street a little before I do. Also picking up some Giant 64" springs while in primm, coupled with the bypasses the truck should work very well.

yeah theres a few areas where i live along the border of Tx/Mex, but i live 20 minutes away from a track where the Traxxas Torc series races during their tour. I just ordered Giants 64" kit with his "bloody link killer" Kings and some Camburg heimed radius arms, so it should be fun.

Yeah I was nervous taking apart a good working set up, but these springs should work too. lol
