47's = shaved rocks

anything over a 44" is too hard on parts for a D60, start getting stupid stuff like knuckle failure and ripping spindles off... Just too much diameter/leverage.

I was told the same thing about running 37's on the stock Dana 35 and 8.8, but I ran that combo for almost a year with no problems...I'm not saying that damage won't occur, but I'm not that hard on my truck, when I don't get stupid anyways. If I do start breaking stuff, I'll downgrade my tire size a few inches :icon_thumby:

updates!!

and a few questions im lookin at running air shocks like yours in my samurai how do you decide on what angle to mount them? just any way kinda deal because ive seen people do it straight up and down and like this / \ im thinking im going to be doing the second way because i want 18" air shocks but space is gonna be tight.is there any downside to that?

Leaning them in like that will help to counteract body roll somewhat.

18" are huge BTW. Most seem to stick to the 14-16" range.

I'll be running 14" 2.5 Kings on mine when it's done.

I have 18's on my eb. I only use about 14.5" of them. Rest is limited with straps. I actually had my pass side pretty much 'l' and my drivers side '/' just slightly angled out at top vs in. I noticed no ill effects. I just reworked my lower mounts. Know they are both pretty close to vertical.

I've got 16s. Pretty close to straight up/down

your going to murder shit with that engine

I positioned the shocks to where they fit the frame and axle best from side to side, mine are close to vertical, maybe an inch top to bottom. Front to back mine leaning back about 2".

It just all worked out that way and it works fine, on and off road.

No real updates right now.
