If you would have just gone the jet engine route like i said you wouldn't need a driveshaft....

and it works great for deterring tailgaters,too

Yer a nerd like me, mate. lol

My bike is one of the old styles, twin carb and everything is cable actuated except the brakes.

You wouldn't believe the field day I had watching everything on it work when I first got it apart.

The linkage looks sweet, man.

It appears that the opening is synchronized, but releasing the pedal shows that there is a slight delay in the mechanism on the front carb. Would you be able to fix that, or include a heavier spring for better throttle response?

the return spring is just tossed on there as of now...and it's just on the back carb,so the links from there are having to close the front one.

when all done both carbs will have return springs,but i couldn't wait for another one to show up before showing it off.

wouldn't surprise me.i'm sure once paint and stuff start happenning there'll be some interest going on.i'm dealing with things like the heater and such right now,so i'm actually not too far away from the teardown.

i commented above about working on the heater-i'museing the stock gt6 heater in this car,but had a couple of minor fitment problems.one is that where the tubes come through the firewall,they were just a bit wide apart so they'd get into the heads.

here you can see that the tubes are offset to the outside on the tanks.i don't need a huge difference,so...

i swapped the tanks from one side to the other.this gives me just enough to get them between the heads.the heater core is in remarkably good condition,so the soldering went very easilly.

below where the heater core is sitting is where the tubes come out of the firewall.now i can get hoses onto them once it's installed.

that's a weird looking heater core... so the driver gets semi cold coolant then eh?
