My buddy has a 1984 Ranger 2wd with a 2.8 liter. We had a over heating issue so we thought it was the water pump but it ended up being the lower thermostat. But anyways the real problem is during the water pump removal he snapped a bolt off in the block. It's one of the metric ones. Can anyone point me in the right direction to fixing this. Is it safe to heli-coil it? What can I do?

I dont know how to help but why the hell did Ford (well should say German engineers due to it came from Europe) put so many damn bolts in it? They are all the same size, should all be metric on the water pump.

Somebody many have an answer for you later.
