Hey dudes, I have a 1983 Ranger. I have never been able to see the odometer very well at night. I have replaced all the light bulbs, at least I would like to think I have. I replaced all of them I could find, when I had the dash out and apart. I was wondering if any of you had any luck or tips using a different bulb.

Thanks,
Eric

Twist the knob? Yeah, I'll try that as soon as I figure out what those two levers on the left side of the steering column are!!!! So many comedians and out of work, now they want to be mechanics!!!! I don't remember seeing any green covers over the bulbs. I just remember the bulbs going into a little black wireless thumb twist holder that locks into the printed circuit board. Thanks for the help....except "twist the knob".

Haha! Twist the knob... That is awesome. Seriously though, after reading through the LED thread, I think I may go with LEDs for my gauges. I have at least one maybe two burned out bulbs back there right now and figure why replace them with plain old bulbs when I can go LED for a pretty minimal amount of cash.

Turning the light switch knob controls the brightness of the gauges, I am sure that is what he meant.

My dash lights don't work at all unless it is turned up against the detent for the dome lights to come on, one of these days I need to get a new switch.
