I need to replace my transmission mount and I was wondering if there is any better ones than the factory replacement.

I have one from a 1993 M50D. You can have it for shipping cost.

This is one of those parts...

BUY IT AT THE FORD DEALER!

Yes, the ones from anywhere else just plain suck. You get about 6 months to a year at the most before the rubber part separates away from the metal (not sure about those urethane ones though).

Resurrecting an old thread but I wanted to add my opinion. I bought a replacement tranny mount from Parts +. Mount has lasted less than a week and the rubber has separated from the metal on both sides. Looks like I will be doing the mount swap again this week with a factory part :annoyed:.

yea, buy the ford part. I wrongly put a new tranny mount in from parts master (thought old one was bad, it isn't) and its holding up worse than the OEM one. i kept my stock seeing as i'll probably be putting it back in within a month...

I bought a used trans from a 91 Explorer. Put it in with it's original mount that was still good. It replaced my original trans mount from 1987 that was also still good.
