I feel like a tool for even having to ask this, but upon a quick lookover, I didnt see it. Could someone give me the general area?
Thanks.

I've never removed one from a 4.0, but on a 2.9 they're on the driver's side of the block near the front of the engine. You have to get to in from underneath. I'd assume the 4.0 is the same since the two engines are so closely related.

Yes, the 4.0L sending switch is on the driver side of the block near the front below the A/C compressor. A single green/white wire goes to it.

...Its on the end of what is best described as a 45° extended elbow and threaded for 1/4" NPT.

Can someone repost the above picture please?

I'm trying to locate my sending unit and I can't find it. I've been poking around the top and bottom of the engine and I can't seem to find it. :(

My oil pressure is still dropping. I have a replacement sensor and I'd like to replace it to find out if thats the problem, or if I have a bigger problem.

I work the night shift, so I'm driving home at 3am. I can't afford to have my oil pump fail on the freeway on the way home. :(

I looked through my Haynes manual and it didn't have any information about it.

Help would be appreciated. :)

Good info there, thank you.

I'll check more into it when it's not so hot in the garage. Wow! It's toasty today!

Thermometer reads 90, in the shade!
