Talking about the passenger side vents on Gen-II and early Gen-III RBV's.
I recently replaced my broken passenger side vents. I broke the little tabs off trying to get the replacements off my parts explorer, AND when I removed the old ones on my Ranger. I glued the good ones into the dash, just to get them in. Have these just gotten old & brittle? This just the way they are? or am I going about this in the wrong way? The superglue holds them in tight, and snugly, and I can remove them if needed, but is there a better way to install them?

Small flathead jewelers-type screwdrivers generally work good to pry the tabs back from the inside while removing it. It still doesn't seem to completely remove the risk of breaking them though (IIRC, a couple of mine are held in with 3 tabs

I just don't think they are made to be removed.
I tried using small screwdrivers, etc. I'll just have to stick with glue or silicon....
