Question on paint code - 1991

My '91 Ranger has a paint code of "YG" on the VIN tag. I have found a few sites where 1991 "YG" is Medium Titanium. However my Ranger is red (see picture). It is red under the VIN tag, under the carpet, under the cab, under the bed, etc...

I want to get some touch up paint as I am replacing the bed wheel arch sheet metal. What color is my Ranger?

Might sound like I'm being a smarta$$ but call a auto body shop and they can look up the color and if not they should have a device that takes a picture of the paint, reads the color and spits out a color code.

That is strange, looked up codes myself. YG does show up as Medium Titanium for '91'. YG does show up as Deep Cranberry Red for a couple of years later and even the '93' Mustang. I know the metal data plates got stamped wrong sometimes but can't explain your case. What's with the Fairlane?

I did see '93 had the Cranberry color? The '91 is my beater so cheap rattle can spray is all I'm looking for.

The Fairlane? It looks better than the Ranger and runs a little better :)

YG is not the paint code, take a picture of the entire tag and I can tell you what the paint code is. YG is the code for the body style, which would be extended cab.
