87 had the sealed beam lights... get a set from Auto zone and get them properly aimed. Shouldn't be more than 30 bucks.

I like the ones available on LMC. They have a clear lens with a serviceable bulb. They are a bit more on the initial investment, but I think they give a clearer, brighter beam.

Summit has Hellas that still look like a normal bulb but have a more modern screw in bulb like LMC.

My 88 bulbs were always pretty good...not nearly as good as the 9004 or 9007 but that requires more than the bulb.

You can always upgrade the front end to a gen II...but instead of that maybe look into a second set of headlights...like low mount on the bumper...I think someone recently posted an LED (rockranger??) mounted on the cowl...check the lighting section...or exterior...

Sweet thanks a buddy of mine is moving and need some
Cash so I grabbed a cheap set of KC style lights for my roll bar I'll look for that thread and follow your links

Spyder and IPCW have nice looking headlights for your rig, and they are not too pricey.

I picked up a set of clear lenses from an auto parts store for $40 about 4 years ago. I had to get a set of bulbs for it but it's so much brighter.
