Ranger I Might Buy... Help me?

1993 4.0 4x4 Auto 103xxx miles, 35" m/t's. 1300$
The guy flopped it on to its side and it has some body damage... also when idling it runs rough and wants to die and eventually will die... other than those two things the truck is amazing!! so what would cause the truck to do that? also the oil pressure gauge is on the high side...? The guy bought it 2 months ago for 7k.

ide get it, the tires are probably worth that, and body repair is easy to do it yourself, and kinda cheap

Im not worried about the body work

Just the engine dying... I think its just the MAF though...

Oh hell yes. I would certainly pick that up. The engine problem may be caused by a vacuum leak or a bad MAF.

Yeah I guess it would be worth it but I'm worried about the fact that he paid 7k for it and only wants 13 now? Have you spoken to this guy at all or seen it in person?

If it's legit...Get that truck right now! I paid 1200 for my truck

Looks good from the pixs. The oil pressure is high? I prefer it NOT to be on the low side. Let us know what happens after the sale-

Your like crazy stupid if you dont buy it.

It got either a vacuum leak, bad maf or something other, toss a code scanner on and see whats up.

Yes Ive seen it in person and driven it, I should be getting it this Friday for 1300$!! It all checked out clean and the body damage really isnt that bad. Like I said when it idles it will "Bogg" down and die... I read that thats a common problem when the MAF is bad... So when I goto buy the truck im going to take my tools with me and some maf cleaner and fix it in front of the guys house while he watches me. :icon_rofl:

and hopefully it wont bog down!!

Its been his daily driver for 2 months he said... it has plates and the whole 9 yards. :icon_cheers:

Thank you! When I pick it up and pay him on Friday ill have some better pictures!
He has an Alpine deck and speakers in the truck! and lights on the front with a switch! and it has some bucket seats... the guy before him really knew his Ranger sh*t because this truck is just wow!
