I'm thinking about buying a 1996 Mazda B3000 truck, but the owner tells me their is a rocker arm loose on the cylinder head. He said he could wiggle it with his fingers.
It has the 3.0L engine and 5spd transmission. Now, I can buy a new cylinder head with valves for $155 & cylinder head gasket kit for $50.
I have most of the tools required for this job.
Now, just a couple of questions:
Could the rocker arm be fixed without buying a new haad?
Should both heads be replaced if the one is bad?
Is their any deeper problems that could of caused this within the engine?
Does the engine need to be removed?
