Leaf spring mounting has always been the same. The biggest difference I know of in the rear half of the frame came in 98 when they moved to a modular frame. If you are trying to use gen 1 rails to repair or extend the rear of a 97 frame you should be OK. You might have to use a gen 1 bumper.

1st gen mounts identical to a 93-97 bumper.

The frames are mostly the same 83-97, some small changes like front crumple zones (added 1991), i-beams and knuckles changed throughout the years, the back stayed mostly the same up until '98 when they made them 2-piece frames.
